In order to colour or perm hair, the hair’s natural pH level needs to be raised and the outer layers or cuticle opened. Once colouring or perming has been completed, the hair’s pH level must be restored and the cuticle closed down. Hair’s natural pH is between 4.5 and 5.5. If the hair is not returned to this level, the cuticle will be left damaged. Organics range of shampoos, treatments and conditioners are designed to return the hair to its natural pH level and leave the hair undamaged. By doing so, the hair is returned to its natural smooth state and helps to reduce colour fade. Light reflects better off a smooth surface and so the hair has a natural shine. Organic Care Systems is suitable for use on curly (permed or natural) and non-coloured hair. 

The ingredients contained in the Organic Care Systems range have been carefully selected to create products which are both highly effective and gentle to the hair. Mother Nature has given us a variety of plants which act as natural calming and soothing agents. Organic Care Systems includes a number of these, for example certified organic chamomile (Anthemis Nobilis) and certified organic aloe vera (Aloe Barbadensis). The moisturising and conditioning action is taken care of by certified organic jojoba seed oil (Simmondsia Chinensis), certified organic sweet almond oil (Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis) and Hydrolysed Wheat Protein, which also helps to strengthen the hair. We use vitamin B5, which adds body to the hair without adding weight and vitamin E, which is a natural anti-oxidant. Finally, UV protection is provided by the certified organic sunflower oil (Helianthus Annuus).

Organic Colour Systems does not take the hair as far from its natural or isometric point on the pH scale as other colours often do. Hair's isometric point is between pH 4.5-5.5 and by using Organic Care Systems after colouring, we are able to return the hair to its correct pH and fully close the cuticle.

• There is little-to-no colour fade since we are able to close the hair's cuticle fully back down after colouring by using Organic Care Systems. This can be maintained at home by using Organic's shampoos conditioners and treatments.
