What is Electrolysis?
Electrolysis is the permanent removal of superfluous hair.
Superfluous hair is unwanted hair growth, also known as Hypertrichosis or Hirsutism. Males and females can be treated and those changing gender. Areas most commonly treated on females are on the face, neck, chest, nipples, breast and abdomen however the whole body can be treated. It has been estimated that over 80% of females in the UK have some unwanted hair growth. Whilst superfluous hair is often considered a cosmetic problem, unwanted hair can cause social acceptance issues for both male and female and can often cause psychological problems such as depression. We often see a marked change in mood and confidence once treatment has begun and the unwanted hair growth has slowed down or stopped. Electrolysis is the longest established and most effective method of permanent hair removal.
